I've suffered from body dysmorphia for a long time and it took nearly 2 years of being urged for me to get the guts to do this. I'm so proud of myself for getting this far that I think about it daily, and when I might be able to do this again. One day, I'm sure I'll close my eyes and hold my breath and send off another email asking for another shoot - but until then, I'm happy to have done just one. I know I don't have to love myself all the time, but I love this, and currently that's good enough. :)" Having watched several friends deal with body dysmorphia, I have a great deal of admiration for :devwhitesidevampire: for having the courage to take this shot, and to share it with us. Not to mention the lighting is lovely, and soft, and the composition is quite interesting in how it frames her face, and leads the eye down her side. First of all, I want to give you and your model congratulations on the Daily Deviation. It is well deserved.

This image celebrates the beauty of the human form. I like the dramatic lighting, it focuses on the body as a subject, but unlike some nudes that are more abstract (hiding the face and maybe even contorting the body so the head is not visible at all), also retains a sense of humanness: there is a person being photographed here, and it is evident in the subtle lighting of the face and hair.

Composition-wise, the photo is well done. Even though the subject is centered, the eye still moves down and around the line made by her back. I don't think the same effect would be here without the tattoo. It adds the curving line needed to keep the eye moving, and the little details are lovely to rest on.

Keep up the lovely work.

I had to read the comments to establish that this IS you. right? If so, I have to tell you that I have never been a fan of yours, because you have always come off as a hateful ball busting bitch. But now that you reveal your issues, I will re-asses my take. I must tell you that this is quite a beautiful picture . The light on you shadowed face is great. The main light on your body is fine with out prurience. But I must say in the end that is your face in this photo is the focus. What a beautiful photo.

When you can argue online and take a good-natured joke as such without getting defensive, let me know. :aww: And, yes, I pride myself on being correct. I've noticed so many people use 'grammar nazi' as a negative. Right is right. You're just pissed off you fucked up and I noticed. I didn't even make it snide in any way. :lol: Yet you're getting all up in arms like I insulted your pedigree or called the morals of your mother into question. Hilarious.
